How Shorts stay out
YouTube splits Shorts and ordinary videos. A Short is the vertical clip, and its address sits under /shorts/. An ordinary video opens on /watch.
The search filter has a type called Videos. That choice asks for the list without Shorts. This page sends that choice along with the term.
The search address carries sp=EgIQAQ==. It is the same filter YouTube applies when someone picks Videos in the menu. After you search, it is there in the address bar.
The account stays as it is. The YouTube home, subscriptions, and the rest of YouTube still show Shorts. Only this search opens already filtered.
